Privacy

Scout is a public directory. You can browse the list and subscribe to its RSS feed without making an account. The site presents information from public company profiles and websites. A company listing may include its public X handle, website, description, follower count, and other public details.

Browser storage

The theme setting and the “new since your last visit” feature use your browser’s local storage. The latter keeps a limited set of company handles seen in that browser and a visit time so Scout can mark newly noticed rows on a later visit. This information stays in the browser; clearing local storage resets those preferences and markers.

Analytics

Scout may use PostHog and Vercel Web Analytics to understand page visits and interactions such as opening a company, changing a filter, or following an outbound link. Analytics depend on the site’s deployed configuration. Session recording is disabled in the PostHog setup. These tools can receive technical request information and interaction events. An outbound link takes you to another site, which has its own privacy practices.

For a listing correction or a question about the site, use the contact page. The About page explains what the directory shows.
